First attempt at photography

Purchased a Panasonic Lumix 35mm camera with a 60x optical zoon.  Super excited to start taking pictures.  Quickly realized that photography requires more than a good camera and I needed to study the art in order to take better pictures.

Went on a European cruise with friends and took several hundred photos.  Put together a small album of my best work and showed it to the wife.

As she thumbed thru the photos, she uttered words of encouragement...crap, crap, crap...hesitated, nah more crap.

My career as a photographer was short lived.
